Seven Best Practices for Securing Your PI Server:
- Upgrade to the latest version of Windows and the PI Server
- Use Windows authentication instead of PI User authentication, also known as explicit login
- Use Windows authentication instead of PI Trust authentication
- Do not use piadmin
- Configure minimum permissions for interfaces
- Upgrade to the latest version of PI Buffer Subsystem and use Windows authentication
- Use Windows groups for PI Identity Mappings
