set trend time ranges using a toolbar linked to a macro doesn't work!

Hi all,

Newbie to the site, so forgive the simplicity of my question.

I'm trying to use a toolbar as the means of setting the time range of one trend based on the time range of another. I can do this within the same display, but not across displays within a processbook file (.piw). Whenever I run the macro it opens the display it is linked under and runs the code on the trends within its own display. Make sense? For example I have two displays: A and B.B has a macro as a vba module. A has a set of trends I want to adjust to the same time range. I link the macro to a toolbar, but when I run it, it just opens  display B and sets all the trend within it to the time range I want, not the trends in display A. Aarrgghhh!!!!

I've tried setting it as a public sub, but still no joy. Is there anyway to do what I want? If I have to create an add-in how do I go about this?

Thanks for any help!
