For some unknown Friday reason our cluster failed, we tried to restart the cluster for the last 4-5 hours without any luck. We are now at a point where we have disabled the clustered service and repointed the shared resources to be stand alone. Now of course the install for PI was a clustered install, do I have to uninstall PI and reinstall as stand alone?

 

We already changed the dns to point to the stand alone but the pisrvstart goes up to piupdmgr then it just sits there with error:

 

Fatal error in PI subsystem piupdmgr: Failed to create producer or consumer list, status: [80] The file exists.

Hello Guys,

 

Good Day,

 

I need a PI performance equation on neglecting negative values.  We were having a problem in our device and it always sending negative data.  Our temporary solution is to neglect these values and just show  the positive ones.

I'm new using the PI processbook and I'm trying to export data using the excel PI add-on, but it won´t let me, it shows the following message in the cell where i want the value to appear: #NAME? (or something like that i have the spanish version and it shows #¿NOMBRE?) i think it wont recognize the source name of the data, how can i fix that?. I attached an image. Thanks.

I have a simple question :

Hi,

 

How do I edit various attributes of tags using the plugin SMT in Excel?

When I click "Export tags", I select Point Class "Classic" mode and "Edit". So I click OK but I get error messages.

I must have only "Select", "Tag" column and the column that has the attribute that I want to edit?

I know your first thought will be, “Why don’t you just create a totalize tag?”, but now it’s become more of a challenge…  I want to email a totatlization once a month.

 

--According to Tech Support, you can’t calculate a totalization in AF Elements.

--Funny thing is you can do a totalization in the Notification trigger, but there’s no way to retrieve the resultant.

 

Anyone know a trick to perform either of those shortcomings?

I wonder if anyone knows how to do the following:

 

Pick a value from a former tag: value1. and that the value you return is only for 30mins forward.

 

it is now 2:00 a.m. like to know the value 2:30 am

 

obs.: I do not want is for excel, I want the ProcessBook.

Hello everyone, I was asked to gather the operation time of an exchanger over a period of one month. Time of operation of the exchanger ranges from ~10 to ~50 hours over that period of time. I have a tag number 'EGP.958TmI-0514B:Value' that records the total amount of time of that exchanger in operation. Hi,

 

I'm trying to copy a timerange from  a trend to all the other trends on the same display. The reason i want to do this is, i have a piece of code that puts the cursor on the same timestamp on each trend. This works great, but when i go out of a range on a other trend i get an error. The code i use is as follows.

 The data above are collected with compressed data function of Datalink. The tag is an amps of a motor. As you see above, the motor stops at 7:08:45 and starts back up 8:30:25. But since we set 'step attribute' off, there is an interpolated line between these two dots. Why does not PI record the prior event to 8:30:25?

 

Below are the setting of the tag in SMT:

typical value:100  zeo:0   span:200

Scan: On   Archiving: On    Step: Off   Shutdown: On    Compression: On

Exception Dev: 1 Eng. Units  Compression Dev: 2 Eng. Units

ExpMin: 0  ExpMax:10mins   CompMin: 0  CompMax: 8hrs

Hello!

 

I'm trying to filter data to show the times from a specified start time to a specified end time when a tag ('TagA') changes from 0 to 1.  I have this part figured out with the compressed data function.  My problem is that I need to further filter these events for times when the value of at least one of 5 other tags ('TagB' through 'TagF') is > 0.  If I just filter for when any 4 of the 5 are > 0, it works - but when I add the fifth I get a '#VALUE!' error.

 

Here's my expression when 'TagA' is in cell B4:

 

PICompFilDat(B4,"start time","end time","('"&B4&"')=1 and prevval('"&B4&"')<1 and ('TagB'>0 or 'TagC'>0 or 'TagD'>0 or 'TagE'>0 or 'TagF'>0)",0, 10,"server","inside")

 

Is there a limitation on the number of arguments you can use in a filter expression or am I missing something else?  If there is a limit, is there any kind of workaround I could do to still get the timestamps I need?

I wonder if there is any way to measure OEE with time as the variable for a tag?

 

Ex: Lets say a machine performs a task and gives a signal when the task is performed.  The task should take 1 min, hence the signal should come each minute.

Is there any way of using PE to calculate when this time goes over limit and give a signal on this?

I am trying to write a performance equation that will tell me when the current value timestamp for a given tag is greater than 1 hour hold. What is the syntax for this?
