PI Notifications Programmer's Guide

In the PI Notifications 2012 user guide, the document makes reference to the PI Notifications Programmer's Guide:

"For information on how to create and register custom delivery channels, see the PI Notifications Programmer's Guide."

I don't find this guide on the download page. Where can I find it?
