At my place of work both operators and lab technicians use an excel sheet to enter data manually and upload it to PI. These excel sheet use macros to allow them to upload input data into the PI System and then this information can be recalled using a tag name. The company recently changed servers and the issue at hand now is that these "Manual Entry" excel sheets do not automatically connect to the current PI server. This results in the input information not being uploaded to the PI system unless the Operators and lab technicians first go through the connection settings and reconnect to the PI server each and every time they input data.
My question now is, is it possible to remove this step of having to connect the server every time? Is there a possible code or macros that I
could use to automatically connect these excel sheets to the specified server or set the server as default at all times?
