Check process for the buffer system

Hi everybody,

I would like to know how to check the buffer subsystem. Buffer is correctly configured and  I thought that stopping snapshots and archive services I would be able to check  that the buffer was filled using  piartool -bfs, but this is not working when stopping services.

I understand that if I stop both services, snapshot and archive events won't be generated. But Where are they accumulating? How can I check it?
